Session Outline

Storytelling and story listening provide rich engagement for exploring identity, purpose and meaning. Through stories we are able to navigate ways in which self and other relate, connect, create and contrast. For facilitators, ingredients such as story-based processes to elicit and listen for stories can be powerful and inclusive ways to work with groups.  Drawing on the menu of Story-based activities in the Story Cookbook: practical recipes for change (2019) Andrew’s and Cathryn’s Story Bistro session invite people to savor and digest the conference theme ‘I am because you are’ through experimenting with a range of tantalising story-based activities.

The purpose of this experiential session is to illuminate the value of facilitating with a range of story-based processes and the creativity and connection it can bring to our facilitation practice.
